Acute Care for Elderly (ACE) - Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Night Shift (Hours:7a-7p) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines.

ChristianaCare Hospital 6A - Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about working with the Elderly.

In this role, you will work closely to deliver care that supports older patients facing an acute illness. The patient population, for this unit is older adults, typically aged 70 and above. Our focus is maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety!

Our nurses manage 5 medical patients per shift and work with an interdisciplinary team that includes a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulted physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel.

As a member of the 6A team, you will engage in a true relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients and families, as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

Education & Requirements:

  • Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License.
  • BSN required.
  • ADN candidates are required to obtain a BSN within 3 years of the hire date.
  • Qualified applicants must have one year of experience as an RN.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with older adults.
  • Gerontology Certification preferred.
  • BLS required.
